Necrom Chapter Release
In the realm of The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom, immerse yourself in the all-encompassing adventure, Shadow Over Morrowind, traverse the landscapes of the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha zones, and master the newfound class of the Arcanist. The tale that first unfolded in the Scribes of Fate DLC in March extends into Necrom, though it’s not a prerequisite to have finished the preceding DLC to savor the fullness of this Chapter.
Exploring Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha
The Telvanni Peninsula, an abode to the wily wizards of House Telvanni and the metropolis of Necrom, may strike a sense of deja vu for those who’ve adventured across the expansive regions of Morrowind. Besides the city, this fresh zone boasts a plethora of unique experiences waiting to be unearthed, including novel side quests, world bosses, delves, public dungeons, and more.
The City of Necrom
Necrom invites you to delve into the domain of Hermaeus Mora, known as Apocrypha. This enigmatic region of Oblivion is teeming with unsaid knowledge, but tread carefully—countless mortals have succumbed to their curiosity amidst its infinite libraries.

This unchartered territory harbors hazards and secrets waiting to be discovered. The two zones of Necrom are previewed here for your learning.
Introducing The Arcanist
The Arcanist, a brand-new class, aids you in your journey through these unexplored worlds. This first addition to the ESO classes since the Necromancer from the Elsweyr Chapter of 2019, the Arcanist leverages the hidden forces of Apocrypha to inflict damage, shield from attacks, and restore health to themselves and their allies.
Video ThumbnailPlay Video The Arcanist introduces a fresh battle technique, the Crux. Certain Arcanist skills, when activated, generate Crux which can then be used to enhance other abilities. The strategic use of this unique resource can drastically affect your efficacy as an Arcanist. More on the Arcanist class is detailed in this preview.
Group Tasks
For those seeking a test of their skills, Necrom brings new group events. One such event, the Sanity’s Edge, is a 12-player trial that requires you and your team to protect the unstable psyche of a troubled Mages Guild member.
Sanity’s Edge Trial
Bastion Nymic, a unique world event, calls upon groups of up to four to aid the Prince of Fate in recovering one of his long-lost fortresses from mysterious intruders. However, gaining access to this concealed segment of Apocrypha necessitates exclusive items that can only be found on wandering Seekers. Here’s more about these PvE events.
New Allies and Rewards
Traveling across both zones presents an opportunity to meet new comrades, including two one-of-a-kind Companions, Sharp-as-Night and Azandar al-Cybiades. These Companions, recruitable and trainable in this Chapter, each bring their own narratives, combat skills, and quests to the table.
Necrom also offers a range of in-game rewards for exploring and accomplishing the game’s various quests and achievements. These include new item sets and collectibles like the Berylglow Nix-Ox Steed mount or the Shroomtender’s Garb style.
STARTING YOUR JOURNEY IN NECROM
Once you’ve gained access to the Necrom Chapter, you can transport to the new zone and resume your Shadow Over Morrowind adventure in the following ways:
Wayshrine Access
Teleport directly to the Telvanni Peninsula by accessing your map, choosing the Necrom zone, and then selecting the Necrom Outskirts Wayshrine icon (the only one available in the zone).
Through the Necrom Main Quest
Obtain the Necrom main quest by navigating to your Collections UI, choosing Stories, then Chapters. Here, you can select Necrom and accept the first quest, named “Fate’s Proxy”. This quest will guide you to your destination.
Via the Tutorial
You can also reach the Telvanni Peninsula by creating a new character and finishing the tutorial. Post the tutorial, choose Telvanni Peninsula as your starting point.
Getting to Apocrypha
To get to the two sections of Apocrypha, the Endless Library and Chroma Incognito, look for portals in Leramil’s base located in the Necrom Bindery. Journey east from the Necrom interior wayshrine and find the entrance past the guild trader’s plaza.
